Bose Is Turning The Dial

 

In a recent analysis of popular songs from the last decade, only 2.8% were produced by women. In an effort to improve this shocking statistic, Bose has introduced the Turn the Dial initiative, focused on addressing the barriers causing this deficit – bringing awareness to the issue and seeking new opportunities for women and non-binary music producers to create music that deserves to be heard.

Bose has partnered with She Is The Music, a non-profit organization with a mission to increase the number of women working in music, artists and industry professionals.  Bose has also partnered with trailblazing artists and producers to highlight the importance of the initiative and inspire the next generation of creators:

On Saturday, June 3rd we brought the RBTV STEM Journey Girls to the Bose Headquarters in Framingham, MA to learn more about Turn the Dial, to tour their research and development labs, and to work on a makerspace design challenge to build a unique musical instrument.

Special thank you to the wonderful team at Bose who were amazing hosts to our group - Cailtin Hanson (Leader of Women at Bose), Bob Maresca (Chairman of Bose), Karen Goodman (Bose’s Executive Creative Director), Olivia Canavan (an Acoustics Engineer at Bose) and all of the other Bose Employee volunteers who contributed to the amazing event!
