The Waters Student Academy (WSA) is a transformative, hands-on learning experience designed to inspire and equip the next generation of STEM leaders. Hosted by Waters Corporation, this program provides high school students with unparalleled access to real-world science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) experiences.

As a WSA participant, you will work side-by-side with Waters scientists, researchers, and executives to gain hands-on experience at one of the world’s leading science and innovation companies. You will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills that will prepare you for future success in a STEM career.

2025 Program DETAILS:

PROGRAM TRACK DATES: (Students Can Only Participate in 1 Session)

Session 1: Science & Innovation | July 8th - July 25th (3-Weeks)

Session 2: Technology & Business Leadership | July 22nd - August 8th (3-Weeks)

COMPENSATION: $1,000.00 for successful completion of a 3-Week program session.

INTENDED FOR:

  • Must be a current 9th, 10th, or 11th Grade High School Student

  • Must be at least 13 by the start of the program

  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States

TRANSPORTATION:

  • Transportation will be provided

  • Round-Trip Transportation: Boston, MA To & From Waters Corporate Headquarters (Milford, Massachusetts)


Session 1: Science & Innovation

“Where Science Meets the Future”

July 8th - July 25th (3-Weeks)

The 2025 WSA Science & Innovation track immerses students in the research, development, and scientific discovery process behind groundbreaking technologies. Participants will work alongside scientists, engineers, and product developers to explore how innovative solutions are created, tested, and refined to drive progress in healthcare, sustainability, and technology. This track is ideal for students interested in science, hands-on laboratory experiences, data analysis, and real-world problem-solving that drive scientific advancements in STEM companies.

Session 2: Technology & Business Leadership

“From Factory Floor to Shop Door”

July 22nd - August 8th (3-Weeks)

The 2025 WSA Technology & Business Leadership track provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how engineering, manufacturing, and business strategy come together to bring scientific innovations to market. Participants will gain hands-on experience in technology development, process optimization, and quality control while also exploring the business and leadership aspects of the STEM industry. This track is ideal for students interested in engineering, operations, project management, and the strategic decision-making processes that drive successful STEM companies.
